A COMPARISON OF SOME ANTHROPOMETRIC AND MOTOR FEATURES OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS WHO PLAY SPORTS AND THOSE WHO DO NOT PLAY SPORTS IN SCHOOLS FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED IN TURKEY

Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare certain anthropometric and motor features visually impaired students who play sports those do not in schools for the Turkey. It thought that sport has an important place rehabilitation disabled people also effect on their physical characteristics. Material Methods: In context, 98 played regularly (72 male, 26 female) 189 did (110 79 participated our study. study, participants’ gender, age, height, body weight, mass index, girth, such as flamingo balance test, flexibility, standing long jump, sit-up, bent arm hang, 10 x 5m shuttlerun, grip strength, vertical abdominal back hip flexion extension leg strength were measured. During measurements, Lovett’s Manual Muscle Strength Test was utilised. Results: significant differences found between terms shuttle run, (p<0.05). However, no index or girth (p>0.05). Conclusion: Examination test results reveals had higher performance levels than sports. recommended students, well being given education lessons, should take part more mobility games sporting activities, activities be included course curricula.
